MADISON -

The Wisconsin Badger football team will open the 2014 regular season in prime time against LSU at NRG Stadium in Houston August 30th.

The Badgers and Tigers will kick off at 8 pm central time on ESPN.

The game is called the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff and will feature two teams that haven't faced each other since 1972.

The 2014 game is the first of three straight neutral-site season openers for the Badgers.

In 2015, Wisconsin will play Alabama at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and in 2016, the Badgers and LSU have their rematch at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
