Badgers arrive in Milwaukee for NCAA tournament

The Wisconsin Badger men's basketball team arrived in Milwaukee late Tuesday afternoon to begin its weekend at the NCAA Tournament.

MILWAUKEE -

The Wisconsin Badger men's basketball team arrived in Milwaukee late Tuesday afternoon to begin its weekend at the NCAA Tournament.

After practice this afternoon at the Kohl Center in Madison, the Badgers took the 90 minute bus ride east on I-94 to their team hotel.

Wednesday, the Badgers will practice at BMO Harris Bradley Center from 1:30 to 2:10 pm. The practice is free and open to the public.

Badger players appreciated the short travel time to their NCAA tournament destination.

"It's big, not having that jet lag and being familiar with the surroundings that you're in," said Sam Dekker. "The arena you're playing in-- all that familiarity and kind of a home court feel is going to be kind of nice for us. Hopefully, it'll play an advantage."

Ben Brust added,"It's nice to go, what is it, an hour down the road east right down 94 and we're here in Milwaukee . Great to play in front of the home state and -- just ready to go."
