The Wisconsin Badger women's hockey team was selected for the NCAA tournament Sunday night and will host a quarterfinal game.

The Badgers earned the second seed and will host the fourth seed, Harvard, at LaBahn Arena in Madison Saturday night at 7 pm.

Wisconsin has a 27-7-2 record and finished second in the WCHA regular season. The Badgers lost to North Dakota 1-0 in the semfinals of the WCHA Final Face-Off in Bemidji Friday.

Harvard brings a 23-6-4 record to the tournament. The Crimson are ranked fifth in the nation and lost in the semifinals of the ECAC conference tournament this weekend.

Harvard goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer was a finalist for the Patty Kazmaier award as the nation's top women's hockey player.

Wisconsin coach Mark Johnson says "I think the exciting part is that we get to host a quarterfinal game. We've hosted in the past and we've had success."
