Monday, the Badger football team opened its scrimmage to their fans and a lot of their fans came away a little grumpy with what they saw.

Now, you can't expect perfection in the first scrimmage of the season, but there certainly seemed to be plenty to work on, especially on offense. After practice Tuesday a couple of those offensive players said don't judge just us by just one scrimmage, better days are ahead.

"You know there is room for improvement. It was the first scrimmage there is a lot to learn from it. I don't think you want to put too much weight on it but it was an important day," said redshirt sophomore quarterback Joel Stave.

"We still have a lot of work to do and those fans that came out to see us yesterday just let them know we are way better than we showed. We will be way better come our first game against Massachusetts," said running back Melvin Gordon.
