MADISON -

The Badger football team held its annual Media Day Friday with its first fall camp practice under head coach Gary Andersen set for Monday afternoon.

Andersen says eight months after coming to Madison, it's time to start getting down to business in fall camp.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to get to the first practice  and move through every day-- everyday counts," says Andersen. " But it's an exciting time for myself, the staff and I think the kids  are ready to roll also."

After a team picture, players met the media and one of the more popular interviews was new quarterback Tanner McEvoy.

"It's going real fine, this is one of the main reasons why I came here -- how great everyone is the players and the coaches the facilities. I really have enjoyed it so far," McEvoy said. "I have some ground to make up so matter what school I picked  I'd have to make up some ground so I am looking forward to camp and seeing where things go."

The Badgers have their first game of the 2013 season Saturday, August 31st against Massachusetts at Camp Randall Stadium.
