Arthur W. Kettle

JANESVILLE ---Arthur W. Kettle, age 82, of Janesville, died Friday, May 3, 2013 at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center.

He was born on January 7, 1931, in Rock County, Wis., and was the son of Alexander and Margaret (Fisher) Kettle. Arthur served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He married Betty Schultz on March 17, 1956 in Dubuque, Iowa. Arthur was employed at GMAD , retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, UAW Local 95 and Janesville Bowman Inc.

Arthur enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. He also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gambling, scratch off tickets and watching the Brewers and the Packers. Arthur greatly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty; 3 children: Larry Kettle of Black River Falls, WI, James (Kay) Kettle of Newville, WI and Robin (Greg) Kettle-Green of Janesville; 7 grandchildren: Shane (Kelly), Brandee (Damon), Heather (Jerome), Candice (Greg), Amber (Ryan), Crystal and Kayla; 5 great grandchildren: Jessica, Megan, Damon, Holden and Hudson; a brother, Neil Kettle of California; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sandra Shaw and 2 brothers, Donald Kettle and Gerald Kettle.

Memorial Services will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2921 Mt. Zion Ave, Janesville, WI, with Rev. Paul Speerbrecker presiding.
