Arlene B. Brunner

CROSS PLAINS/WAUNAKEE-Arlene B. “Bucky” Brunner, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from complications due to cardiac surgery.

She was born on April 29, 1937, in Madison and was a Middleton High School graduate. Arlene was united in marriage to Roger “Dib” Brunner on October 14, 1958. He preceded her in death in 2004. Arlene worked for many years at Graber Industries in Middleton, and was a caregiver for Alzheimer patients at Clare Bridge of Middleton -Stonefield. She also worked as a CNA at the Waunakee Manor until her retirement. Arlene was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and loved to play Bingo.

She is survived by her children, Allan (Molly) of Middleton, Victor (Carmen) of Madison, Dale of Cross Plains, Sharon of Middleton, Greg of Linden; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Marty (Pat) Olson and brothers and sisters-in-law, Joan Friend, Rita Marie Plemons, Lucille Brunner and Millie (Marshall) Osborn. In addition to her husband, Roger Brunner, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers-in-law, Fred, Alred, and Andrew Brunner, Richard Friend, Jack Plemons and Hilary Statz; sisters-in-law, Mary Plemons, Sister Luka, Celine Statz and Thelma Brunner; a nephew, Mark Olson and her mother and father-in-law, Andrew and Anna Brunner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2013 with Father Thomas Kelley presiding. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and also on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
