Anthony "Tony" Larson

MADISON-Anthony “Tony” Larson, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 13, 1935, in Richland Center, the son of Olon and Esther (Grimstad) Larson. He married Phyllis Danielson on April 20, 1955, and they raised five children together. Tony graduated from Westby High School in 1953. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Alaska until 1957. Tony and Phyllis then moved back to Madison where he attended UW Madison. Following his schooling, he worked in sales and continued to do so until his retirement. In his spare time, Tony enjoyed traveling to car shows with his corvette and spending winters in Florida. He was also an avid Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and NASCAR fan.

Tony is survived by Phyllis Larson; children, La Dene (Jim) Sullivan, Brian (Sue) Larson, Kurt (Karina) Larson, and Laura (Mike) Harrington; grandchildren, Travis, Aaron, Kyle, Zach, Kiefer, Eli, Jordan, Nick, Jeff, and Andrew; and sister, Lois McAllister. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Jeff.

A Celebration of Tony’s Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013.
