Ami Lemberger

Published On: May 30 2013 08:11:05 AM CDT

MADISON-Ami Lemberger of Madison, passed away on Memorial Day 2013.

Ami was an artist. She combined oils and acrylics that created paintings you can look at a hundred times and still see something in it that makes you say, "Wow"! Ami used her palette of color and people and food and love and beauty and sympathy and generosity to create a life that was much greater than the sum of its parts. She had a very accessible kind of magic this way and we saw it when one friend dropped by or when she had a houseful. You just had to feel better for having been in her company. And we were. And we will miss it.

Born Alma Marian Pedracine, she was known as Ami. She was well loved by her husband of many years, Joseph Victor Lemberger and somewhere they are smiling at each other and dancing together again.

Ami is survived by her five children, Joe and Karen of Summerfield, Fla., Tom of Tucson, Ariz., Mark and Penny of York, S.C., Therese and Roger of Madison, and Jim and Patty of Oregon. Ami is also survived by nine grandchildren, Theresa, Paige and Michelle, Rachel and Corlissa, Tiffany, Christopher, Josh and Nikki; thirteen great-grandchildren, Nathan and Aidan, Megan and Cole, Jake and Luke, Coby and Aryanna and Jayden and Jax, Aerralynn, Anneliese and Alexis; brother, Bud (Marguerite) Pedracine; and her sister, Alice (Ray) Antoneiwicz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013, with Father Gary Wankerl presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.

Ami was an artist, a wife, a Mom, a sister, daughter, Grandma, aunt and an amazing friend to a lot of people. She did this with a lot of class. What a gal.
