MADISON, Wis. -

Landon Peterson stopped 21 of 22 shots as Wisconsin beat Alaska-Anchorage 2-1 on Saturday for a sweep of their Western Collegiate Hockey Association series.

The Badgers (11-9-5, 8-5-5) improved to 10-1-2 in their last 13 games while the struggling Seawolves (3-15-6, 1-15-4) lost for the 11th time in 12 games.

All of the scoring occurred in the second period. Tyler Barnes and Jefferson Dahl gave Wisconsin a 2-0 lead. Jordan Kwas answered for UAA.

Peterson had seven saves in each period, while USS goalie Chris Kamal made 17 stops.

On Friday night, the Badgers scored two power play goals to defeat Alaska-Anchorage 5-2, with Michael Mersch scoring both power play goals.

Wisconsin hadn't scored with the man advantage in its last seven games and had scored only two power play goals in its last 50 chances.

Mark Zengerle, Tyler Barnes and Nic Kerdiles added goals for the Badgers in the series opener.

Joel Rumpel had to make only 12 saves to get Friday's win in goal for Wisconsin.
