For those diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, a complete medical team is needed to control your symptoms.

Rheumatologist: A rheumatologist is a doctor who specializes in joint disease. This person will be the head of your medical team and is the person who will monitor the progression of your arthritis and create your treatment plan.

Primary Care Physician: Even when seeing a rheumatologist and other specialists, make sure you are still seeing your primary care physician so he or she can monitor your overall health and any other health conditions you may have.

Physical Therapist: A physical therapist can help work on your range of motion and design an exercise plan aimed at keeping your joints health.

Occupational Therapist: An occupational therapist can help you cope with daily tasks that are difficult to perform because of your arthritis.

Mental Health Professional: For those struggling to cope with the emotional side of living with rheumatoid arthritis a mental health professional can be of assistance.

Orthopedic Surgeon: For those who need surgery on their joints an orthopedic surgeon is a necessity on their care team.
