According to the Mayo Clinic, it is a bit controversial as to when men should start getting screened for prostate cancer.

Some organizations say men in their 40s should start getting checked.

If a person has a history of prostate cancer in his family or has other risk factors, it’s generally recommended he get checked earlier than 40.

The Mayo Clinic recommends you work with your physician to determine when you should be screened.
