What to do if you’re having a stroke

If you think you or someone you are with is having a stroke you should seek immediate medical attention.

According to the Mayo Clinic, you should note the time the symptoms first began to help medical professionals know how to proceed with treatment.

Some signs to look for to determine if you or someone else is having a stroke include:

-          Loss of balance, coordination or sudden dizziness

-          Trouble speaking or confusion

-          Paralysis or numbness in the face, arm or leg

-          Trouble with vision

-          Sudden, severe headache

The Mayo Clinic advises patients and their loved ones to seek immediate care if any of these symptoms are present. Even if the symptoms go away you should still seek medical attention.
