Wayne Verlyn Burdick, 80, entered into eternal life on Feb 1st, 2012 with his loving wife Rita and his family by his side at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI. Wayne & Rita were married June 21st, 1955. Wayne was a proud Korean War Veteran. He worked as a police officer in Sauk City, was employed at Badger Ordinance Army Ammunition Plant in Baraboo, and retired as a truck driver.

Wayne is survived by his wife Rita, formerly of Mauston, currently residing in Dousman, WI. Also survived by his six children: Richard (Debbie) Burdick, Murietta, CA Robert (Donna) Burdick, Stevens Point, WI JoAnn (Joe) Finn, Dousman, WI Joyce (Paul) Joswick, Stevens Point, WI Jeffrey (Rachelle) Burdick, Clarksville, TN Jean (Jim) Babcock, Dousman, WI Wayne was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his parents and brothers and a sister.

The family would like to thank the staff at Angels Grace Hospice for their outstanding care, compassion & support.

Visitation will be Tuesday Feb. 5, 10:30am-11:30am at St. Patrick’s Church in Mauston. Catholic Mass at 11:30 with burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetary. Lunch at St Patrick’s. following the committal. Crandall Funeral Home is serving the family.
