MADISON, Wis. -

Gov. Scott Walker says he'll remain governor of Wisconsin "as long as people want me to be governor."

Walker commented again Wednesday on his presidential aspirations after an introduction he received at a Wisconsin Restaurant Association event.

Peter Hanson, a vice president of the restaurant group, said Walker needed no introduction. Then he added, "Pretty soon he'll need no introduction in Iowa and New Hampshire or North Carolina, I don't imagine."

Walker said he didn't write the introduction.

Instead, Walker said, "I love being governor, I'm focused on being governor. I'll be governor as long as people want me to be governor here."

Walker is frequently mentioned as a 2016 presidential candidate in part because of his extensive traveling across the country. He's also writing his memoirs.
