MADISON, Wis. -

Two Madison Police Department officers have been suspended for violating different procedures, according to MPD statements.

One officer failed to complete a required report last summer. According to a statement, further investigation of the officer found that he failed to complete a report in an earlier instance.

The officer was cited to be in violation of two counts of MPD policy and was suspended for 11 days. He has been in violation of similar policy in the past, the statement said.

Another officer was cited by MPD to have violated office policy against public criticism in August 2012.

According to a statement, the officer was critical of a fellow department member during an agency event. He was suspended without pay for five days.

The statement said the officer has been in violation of the public criticism policy in the past.
