Authorities said an Edmund man was killed Friday afternoon when the truck he was driving overturned.

Iowa County Sheriff Steve Michek said in a news release that Karl Espeseth, 57, was killed in a single-vehicle crash at about 4:05 p.m.

According to the report, the crash occurred on State Road 130 approximately half-a-mile south of County Road NN in the Town of Clyde.

Michek said the driver of the vehicle was southbound on Highway 130 when the vehicle left the road, traveled along an embankment on the west side of the road and overturned in a pasture.

The driver, Espeseth, was alone in the truck and not wearing a seat belt, the sheriff said.

The truck is owned by Premier Transport of Mount Horeb and was hauling liquid cattle feed when it crashed, according to the report.

The report noted the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, Lone Rock Fire Department, Lone Rock EMS, and Iowa County Coroner’s Office responded to the incident.
