Toy farm show attracts crowd

VERONA, Wis. -

Verona area residents got back to their farming roots Sunday.

Verona FFA’s 25th annual Toy Farm show offered more than 45 different exhibits ranging from custom displays and toy tractors for sale to a talking robot dog.

Volunteers said the toy show gives children a look into the area’s agricultural history.

"Verona and Madison have become more urban areas, so this is a chance for them to see agriculture and what different farms scenes are like, and see the tractors that maybe their grandfathers or fathers drove when they were young," volunteer Patrick McGuire said. 

Proceeds from the toy show were expected to exceed $3,000. The money will go toward the FFA’s scholarship fund. Verona FFA is one of the area’s largest scholarship providers, according to McGuire.
