Suzy A Roehl

JANESVILLE – D'Anne Annette "Suzy" Roehl, age 53, of Janesville, died on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at St. Mary's Janesville Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Janesville on Feb. 3, 1959, the daughter of Gerald "Jerry" and Doris (Egeberg) Roehl. She graduated from Craig High School in 1977, UW Madison with honors in 1981, and from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), New York. Suzy lived most of her life in Janesville, and had lived in New York and Connecticut for 7 years. Suzy was married to James Richter and they had a beautiful daughter, Alivia.

She had been a freelance weaver, and was a member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, weaving and fiber arts, singing, performing arts, and playing the flute, piano, and French horn. She loved her 2 cats, Nala and Gus.

She is survived by her daughter, Alivia Richter of Janesville; parents, Jerry and Doris Roehl of Janesville; sister, Kerri (David) Shank of Janesville; brother, Robin (Ruth) Roehl of Janesville; 2 nephews, Gregory Roehl of Whitefish Bay and Steven Roehl of Beloit; 4 nieces: Brittany Roehl of Sun Prairie, Lindsay Shank of Janesville, Heather Roehl of Minneapolis, and Jessica Shank of West Bend; a special aunt and close friend Tootie of Scottsdale, AZ; and many other aunts, uncles and other extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. James Melvin officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
