Sandwich shop robbed near Beltline

MADISON, Wis. -

A man wearing a black hat and a bandanna over his face robbed a sandwich shop near the Beltline Sunday night, and Madison police need your help in finding him.

The incident happened at the Silver Mine Subs in the 2600 block of the frontage road off the Beltline just before 9 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, a white man in his mid-20's walked in wearing a black hoodie.

Police said he went immediately to the employee area, demanded money and showed a gun that was in his waistband. The thief left on foot, but likely took off in a car that was parked nearby.
