Ryan's Badgers pound Oshkosh in exhibition

MADISON -

The Wisconsin Badgers started fast and never looked back as they defeated UW-Oshkosh, 96-44 in a men's basketball exhibition at the Kohl Center Wednesday night.

A 29-2 run in the first half decided the game early for the Badgers.

Jared Berggren led Wisconsin with 16 points. Frank Kaminski and Ben Brust added 12 points each as all 14 players on the roster scored for the Badgers.

George Marshall and Ryan Evans both chipped in with 11 points..

Wisconsin has defeated its WIAC opponents in the exhibition series by over 30 points a game.

Before the game, WIAC Commissioner Gary Karner presented Bo Ryan with a plaque to commemorate Ryan's selection as a charter member of the WIAC Hall of Fame.

Wisconsin has its regular season opener Sunday afternoon at 1 at the Kohl Center against Southeastern Louisiana.
