Ruby L. Thomas

Black Earth/Cross Plains-Ruby L. Thomas, age 89, passed away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. She was born on Aug. 3, 1923 in Beulah, N.D. the third child of Arvid and Clara (Johnson) Sevallius. Ruby was employed at Grabers until moving to LaCrosse in 1966 where she began working for LaCrosse Rubber Mills until her retirement. She enjoyed reading mysteries and loved the time spent with her family.

Survivors include 2 daughters; Sandra Wood and Darlene Holler; 6 grandchildren; Debbie (Gary) Danz, Scott (Kathy) Holler; Kimberly (John) Crook, Kurt (Tara) Holler, Brett (Kim) Holler, Jennifer (Troy) Smith; 13 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Wood, her grandson, James Holler, her sister, Sally Menunchow and 2 brothers, Herb Sevallius and Duane “Bud” Sevallius.

In honor of Ruby’s wishes, no services will be held.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Heartland Country Village in Black Earth, Sylvan Crossing in Waunakee, and Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. for their loving care and also to Ruby’s nieces and nephews for their kindness, time and laughter they shared with her. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
