Roy Riddiough

Roy Riddiough, 98, of Madison, formerly of Fennimore and Avoca, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Harmony Living Center in Madison. He was born December 16, 1914 in Fennimore the son of Frank and Anna (Fischer) Riddiough. On May 4, 1936 Roy married Geneva Degenhardt in Fennimore. Roy and Geneva farmed for 35 years mostly in the Avoca and Fennimore areas. In the 1960s Roy went to work for the University of Wisconsin doing janitorial work and later worked on roads for the State Highway Department, retiring in 1978. Roy enjoyed playing cards, gardening, drinking coffee, and wine.

Roy is survived by three children: Lee (Donna) Riddiough of Avoca, Paul Riddiough of Cross Plains, Eldonna Crary of Madison, Seven grandchildren: Dennis (Kandi) Riddiough of Seattle, Washington, Dale (Kathy) Riddiough of Avoca, Dianna (Brent) Cole of Avoca, Steven Riddiough of Cross Plains, Lori (Kevin) Baer of Fitchburg, Wade (Pam) Crary of New Glarus, Kristine (Craig) Lee of Edgerton, Twelve great-grandchildren, Four great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, wife Geneva, granddaughter Denise Riddiough, one brother, and one sister.

Private funeral services will be held. The Godager Pratt Funeral Home of Muscoda is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online condolences can be made at prattfuneralservice.com.
