Rosemary A. Gardner

Cross Plains - Rosemary A. Gardner, age 65 was taken unexpectedly by heavenly angels on Thursday, Feb 28, 2013. She was born on November 2, 1947 in Boscobel, WI, the daughter of Herman and Frances (Manko) Wellner. On July 1, 1967, Rosemary was united in marriage to Brian R. Gardner at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Monona. She attended and graduated from St. Mary's nursing school in 1968. She began her nursing career, in CA, then returned to WI to work at Mendota Mental Health and at Central Wisconsin Center until her retirement.

Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Brian R Gardner of Cross Plains, her three children; Brian (Jessica) Gardner of Arlington, Texas, Heather Gardner of Janesville and Misty (Donald) Wanta of Brooklyn, WI, five grandchildren; Aaron, Rebecca, Sophia, Sawyer and Brody, three brothers; John (Kay) Wellner of Rochester, MN, Edward (Donna) Wellner of Germantown and Paul (Kris) Wellner of Cross Plains. She is also survived by many other loving family and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Amanda.

Funeral services will be held at WINN CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee, on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00 am with Father Brian Dulli presiding. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of services. The family would like to invite you at a luncheon which will be held following the services at Cannery Row Senior Apartments Community Room, 301 E. 3rd Street, Waunakee

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Haas, Dr. Frontiera and Dr. Ahrens, PD nurse Lois, PT Marge, RN Emily, St. Mary's Hospital and Home Health United for all the special care and attention given to Rosemary and our family. Most of all, we would like to thank her loving friends for the countless hours they sat by Rosemary's bedside.
