Richard Brustman

Richard Brustman, 84, of Richland Center died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Richland Hospital. He was born October 22, 1928 the son of Walter and Amelia (Christensen) Brustman in Oshkosh. On April 15, 1950 Dick married Doris Haak in Madison. Dick worked construction in Madison for many years. He helped to build Richland Hills. Later Dick and Doris moved into Richland Hills where he worked as the maintenance man for many years. The couple also owned Dick and Doris’s Bar in Boaz for 15 years. The couple loved to travel in their RV and spending time at the Flying J Campgrounds. Dick was a Mason, Shriners , and the Tin Lizzies.

Dick is survived by his sister Lois Heidner of California, sister-in-laws, Lois Brustman of Middleton, Lila Bringman of California, Mary Jane Honer of Richland Center, brother-in-law, Ken (Deloris) Haak of Middleton, 4 ‘honorary children’ nieces and nephew, Richard Honer of Richland Center, Kristina (John) Dameron of Round Lake Beach, IL, Jackie Honer of Richland Center, Jennifer Honer of Boaz, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, brother Robert Brustman, brother-in-laws Kerry ‘Joe’ Haak and Ron Heidner.

A Masonic Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held in the Richland Center Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service of Richland Center is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online condolences can be made at prattfuneralservice.com.
