(NewsUSA) - Many homeowners are aware of the basic do-it-yourself home projects one should tackle when preparing for the winter season, including caulking gaps around doors and installing programmable thermostats. But what about projects that are just as important but easy to overlook?

One project not to overlook is power washing and sealing outside structures.

Sealing your driveway and deck protects them from fluctuating temperatures as well as ice and winter damage.

Applying a sealant gives a driveway the added protection it needs to last longer and resist deterioration, especially during the winter months.

Always remember to power wash all outdoor structures before applying any type of sealant.
