MADISON, Wis. -

Madison police said that surveillance video helped identify a suspect in a series of burglaries that targeted two clinics that offer services to children with autism as well as young people with other behavioral challenges and disorders.

Those who work for Integrated Developmental Systems, 815 Forward Dr., and for Children's Therapy Network, 14 Ellis Potter Ct., reported multiple break-ins in June, July and August where someone stole hundreds of dollars worth of food: pudding cups, crackers, cheese packs, yogurt and cottage cheese, police said.

Madison police said they identified John E. Newburg, 45, of Madison, as a suspect in five of the burglaries.

Newburg was arrested Wednesday night outside his home in the 6200 block of Schroeder Road on five counts of burglary and damage to property, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.
