MADISON, Wis. -

Madison police said a 38-year-old Madison man was attacked by two men while seating in a parked car early Friday morning.

The victim said he was seated in the passenger seat of a car parked inside a parking garage in the 400 block East Wilson Street of when two men, with whom he has had past conflicts, approached, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.

One of the men swung a baseball bat at the passenger side window, shattering it, police said.

Police said the second attacker threw a punch through the shattered window, striking the victim's face.

The victim got out and took a swing at one of the men, but his blow struck nothing but air, causing him to lose his balance, police said.

The victim fell to the pavement, dislocating his shoulder.

The victim went to a hospital to have his shoulder treated and to get stitches for a cut on his ear, police said. The victim also ended up with broken glass lodged inside his cut ear.
