Pedestrian struck, injured

MADISON, Wis. -

A 56-year-old Madison man suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle while walking in downtown Madison Monday evening, according to Madison police.

The man told police he had been drinking at a downtown bar and was walking home but said he didn’t remember much after leaving the bar. He walked into traffic on West Johnson Street at about 7:30 when he was struck.

He was taken to a hospital for observation. Police said he will be cited for violating a pedestrian signal. The driver was not cited.
