Nancy M. Babcock

JANESVILLE---Nancy M. Babcock, age 64, of Janesville, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at her home with her family at her side. She was born in Janesville on April 19, 1948, the daughter of Glenn and Dorothy (Nielson) Babcock and was a graduate of Janesville High School. Nancy had been formerly married to Michael Miller and together they had two daughters. She had been employed on the first crew to work for Mr. Steak and continued to work there for over 20 years. Nancy later had been employed by Lab Safety in the warehouse. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and loved gardening, crafting, quilting and spending time with her family and dogs.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Michelle (Steve) Richards of Richfield, and Heather (Chuck Pace) Miller of Eagle River; her Mom, Dorothy Babcock of Janesville; her beloved dog, Zinnia; as well as 5 grand-dogs; 3 sisters: Gloria Arellanes of Portland, OR, Pam Binsky of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Brenda (Eric) Lopatin of Troy, IL; 2 brothers, Ted Babcock of Madison, and Tim Babcock of Janesville; special friends and cousins, Linda and Susan Hanel; and lifelong best friend, Nancy (Ken) Manthei. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn in 1973.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. Naomi Garber officiating. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY is assisting the family.
