MADISON, Wis. -

Another one to four inches of snow is expected to fall in southern Wisconsin Monday, with the heaviest amounts falling north and northwest of Madison.

WISC meteorologist Haddie McLean said the snow will fall rapidly with some patchy freezing drizzle mixing with snow in the afternoon.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 1 a.m. Tuesday for Vernon, Juneau, Adams, Crawford, Richland and Grant counties.

Highs will reach the middle 30s, but will fall to around 30 by late in the day.

Skies are expected to clear during the day on Tuesday. Temperatures will remain cold and climb into the lower 30s on Friday.

Spring begins Wednesday at 6:02 a.m., but it will be very cold that day with high temperatures 20 to 25 degrees below normal.
