Memorial comes back to beat Sun Prairie 75-74

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. -

March is still months away but the drama Thursday night in Sun Prairie was worthy of a March Madness game as Memorial took on the Cardinals.

The matchup of the No. 4 versus No. 6 team in the state for Division 1 boys basketball lived up to all the hype as Memorial came back to win the game in the final seconds.

The first half was all Sun Prairie. Nick Fuller scored 30 and set the school record for career points. The Cardinals led by 14 at the half.

But the Memorial Spartans didn't go away. Jester Weah led Memorial with 27 points.

Under two minutes to go, Nick Noskowiak had 21 and his jump shot made it 72-70 late.

But with 8 seconds left, Memorial's Shareef Smith hit a three-pointer to give the Spartans the 75-74 win.
