Memorial beats Middleton to start Big 8 play

MIDDLETON, Wis. -

A good crowd was treated to an early season battle between Big Eight rivals Madison Memorial and Middleton Tuesday night in Middleton.

Middleton was hanging around just before halftime. Chris Little, who scored 7 for the Cardinals, got inside and scored to give Middleton the lead.

But just before half, Memorial gets the last shot. Julian walters takes it and makes it, giving the Spartans lead at the break..

In the third quarter, Jester Weah took over. Brendan ortiz set up Weah with a nice feed. Weah scored 13 and Walters scored 15 to help give Memorial a win on the road, 57-47 over Middleton.
