Mary Cecilia Ferris

Mary C. Ferris (nee Cwiklinski), age 96 of Necedah, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Crest View Nursing Home in New Lisbon, Wisconsin where she was a resident for the past 6-1/2 years.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin in the spring.

Mary was born on May 28, 1916 in Blue Island, Illinois, the daughter of the late Kazmir and Constancia (Cwiklinski). Mary lived in Necedah where she worked at Kenco Plastics and the Necedah Motel. She was also a volunteer for the Veteran’s Administration in Tomah, Wisconsin. Mary enjoyed babysitting, gardening and watching the birds in her yard. Mary will be remembered for her spunky personality and wit. She was a person who gave more than she had.

Mary is survived by her children, Annette Ritter of Hazelhurst, WI, James (Betty) Cyrak of Tomahawk, WI, Gloria (Bill) Larsen of Big Bend, WI, Kenneth (Mary Ann) Cyrak of Jackson, WI Sharon (Dick) Larson of New Lisbon, WI; 15 grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren,1 great-great grandchild and a sister, Sue Cunningham of New Richmond, WI. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton; brothers, Stanley, Joseph (Joe), and Edward (Eddie); sister, Irene Schneider, and granddaughter, Candace Redenz (nee Ritter).

The family would like to thank the staff at the Crest View Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care of our mother.
