Man at large after robbing Janesville bank

JANESVILLE, Wis. -

A bank on Milton Avenue was robbed Saturday morning, according to police.

At 9:57 a.m., the Janesville Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at U.S. Bank, 2732 Milton Ave.

A white man wearing a black hat, knee-length black winter coat with hood up, a thin gray scarf around his face, dark pants and dark shoes demanded money from the clerk and said he was armed with a firearm, according to the report.

Police said the robber was handed an unverified amount of cash and fled the scene southbound on foot.
