MADISON, Wis. -

A Madison man is facing drug charges after officers stumbled upon marijuana with a street price of more than $200,000 in his storage unit, police say.

According to a DeForest Police Department release, police were conducting an unrelated investigation at a Madison storage facility in early December when they were alerted of a storage locker that was later found to contain about 66 pounds of high-grade marijuana.

Officers also seized three handguns found in the unit, including one that had been reported stolen from the Green Bay area in 1981.

The release said police took Wilson Barrington Talbot Jr., the renter of the storage unit, into custody Feb. 1 on charges of Possession with intent to distribute marijuana and three counts of possession of a handgun by a felon.

Talbot is facing maximum penalties of up to $100,000 in fines and 25 years in prison if convicted, according to the release.
