Kenneth O. Koberle

MIDDLETON/VERONA – Kenneth O. Koberle, age 81, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, after an extended illness. He was born on March 17, 1931, in Madison, the son of the late Otto and Lillian (Atwood) Koberle. After graduating from Middleton High School in 1949, Ken served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as an electrician with the State of Wisconsin, and retired in 1996, from Oakhill Correctional Institute. Ken was renowned for being able to fix most anything and loved doing so for his friends and family. Rebuilding cars, fishing, playing pool and remodeling homes were passions of his, but what he enjoyed most was the time he spent with his family and good friend, Roger.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; children, John (DeAnn), Kathi (Ron) Esser, Scott (Jenny), Todd (Janet), Kelly (Ted) Urfer, and Terri (Travis) Pense; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his brother, John (Ruth).Gunderson_Funeral

A Celebration on Ken’s Life will be held at the VERONA VFW, 207 Legion Street, Verona, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012. Lunch will be provided.
