Joseph Leroy "Joe" Erdahl

MADISON/STOUGHTON-Joseph “Joe” Leroy Erdahl, age 43, of Madison, passed away suddenly in his home on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012. He was born on March 31, 1969, the son of Preston and Loretta (Reddeman) Erdahl. Joe attended Stoughton High School and was a member of First Lutheran Church growing up. He was a volunteer at River Food Pantry. Joe worked at Rick’s Lawn and Garden in Stoughton and Briarwood Apartments in Madison. He was an avid biker and enjoyed playing disc golf, euchre, and spending time with his children and their friends.

Joe is survived by his children, Jory Keating, Sanford, Justen, and Teala Erdahl; grandson, Kyler Keating; mother, Loretta Erdahl; brothers, Jim (Mary) Erdahl, John Erdahl, Jerry (Robin) Erdahl, Jeff (Krishna) Erdahl, and Jay (Kris) Erdahl; mother of his children, Michelle Johnson; and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Preston (Sam) Erdahl; and sister-in-law, Yong Choe Erdahl.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison at Noon on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, with the Rev. Stephen Marsh presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park immediately following the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.

Joe was kind, caring, and generous with love. One of his favorite quotes, “Erdahls are always good workers.” Gunderson_Funeral We love you and will miss you.
