MADISON-Joseph Albanese, age 71, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg surrounded by his family. He was born on July 16, 1941, in Mount Vernon, N.Y., the son of Joseph and Adeline (Grosso) Albanese. Joseph married LaDonna Dresen on Jan. 30, 1988. He graduated from Thomas Edison Technical High School. Joseph worked for Strauss printing and Dane County Household Hazardous Waste for many years, retiring in 2009. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography, watching football, and napping with his dog, Ruby.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 24 years, Donna; daughter, Amy Albanese of Madison; son, David Albanese of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and cousin, Joe Amuso.

A Celebration of Joseph’s Life will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. with military honors at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012.
