Harold E. Edebohls, 79, of Lancaster, formerly of Platteville, died on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Orchard Manor, Lancaster.

Private funeral services will be held at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Rev. Jeff Pederson will officiate. Chapel military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #42 and VFW Post #5274, Platteville. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Harold was born on December 6, 1933 in Platteville, Wisconsin, the son of Edward and Helen (DeBuhr) Edebohls. Harold was married to his wife, Kitty, in 1969. She preceded him in death in 1975.

He enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 19. After that he served in the United States Air Force for 22 years where he was a Staff Sergeant. After retirement he moved back to the tri-state area. Harold was a member of the American Legion and a life member of the Civil War Surgeons, Inc., where he participated in reenactments.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Edebohls of Platteville and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father.
