Four people are hospitalized with serious, but non-life threatening injuries after a fight broke out at a Halloween party Sunday morning.

Iowa County deputies responded to 7160 County Highway H right outside of Arena around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

A fight broke out at a Halloween party, and officers found three people with stab wounds. Medflight took one victim to UW Hospital. The other two were taken by EMS.

Another victim was discovered hours after he drove himself to the hospital.

The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office has two "persons of interest" in custody in connection with the stabbing. Twenty-year-old Brandon Behrens was arrested for recklessly endangering safety and battery, and his brother 19-year-old Shane Behrens was arrested for battery and substantial battery. Both are being held at Iowa County Jail.

Jeanne Vollmer lives two doors down from where the fight broke out. She was about to fall asleep when a man and a woman started fighting loudly right below her bedroom window. Vollmer yelled at them to find another place to argue, and they continued in her backyard.

Vollmer didn’t find out there had been a stabbing at her neighbor’s house until breakfast time on Sunday. She had just moved to her new home in May, and heard everything was normally low-key.

"This was such a quiet neighborhood," Vollmer said. "You never heard anybody."

Other neighbors say they have heard a number of parties at that residence.

While camera crews were on the scene, a group gathered in front of the house who said they were at the party when the stabbing scene unfolded. They would not go on camera, but said they believed more than one person committed the crime and none of those people were invited to the party. They added that the suspects slashed tires and crashed into other cars.

Deputies say the investigation is still ongoing.
