Faye Wisdom, 84, of Platteville died on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Southwest Health Center Hospital, Platteville.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Platteville. Pastor William R. Wineke will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, or from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Faye Wisdom Memoral Fund. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com

Faye was born on June 30, 1928 in Platteville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roy and Louella (Bausman) McLimans. She graduated from Platteville High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Lyle Wisdom. Faye was a Nurse’s Aid for many years at the Platteville Hospital. She later worked at Virtue Photography and Advanced Transformer in Platteville. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Platteville. She was an avid reader, and gardener where she also enjoyed tending to her African Violets, she also enjoyed doing crafts. She enjoyed her cats, Sam, Sadie and Sophie. Faye loved spending time with her children and their families.

Faye is survived by her children, Larry (Darlene) Wisdom of East Dubuque, IL; Reggina (Tom Ohlert) Wisdom of Albany, WI; Susan (Michael) Myers of Platteville; Randall (Donna) Wisdom of Cuba City, WI; Mitch Wisdom of Madison, WI; Kim (Kim) Wisdom-Egan of Cross Plains, WI; 14 grandchildren, Joe (Amanda) Mayland, Shannon (Frank) Leffelman, Jason (Marydee) Wisdom, Sarah Docter, Michelle Myers, Jill (Brian) Morgan, Allison (Chris) Richard, Michael (Apryl) Wisdom, Elizabeth Wisdom, Scott Wisdom, Kevin (Jessi) Wisdom, Kenna Wisdom, Jesse Egan, Benjamin (Chrissy) Egan; 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, June Lee Shyrle Sedgwick both of Platteville; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Wilma Horn, Luella Manning, Nina Calloway, and Avis Weigel.
