Drug investigation yields 1,200 child porn images, police say

MONONA, Wis. -

Police said they found more than 1,200 photos of child pornography on a computer seized during a drug investigation in Monona.

Monona and Madison police executed a search warrant at 208 West Dean Ave. in Monona on May 30 and said they found 77 marijuana plants, a growing operation and firearms.

Michael R. Mackesey, 36, was arrested on suspicion of maintaining a drug house, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and manufacturing marijuana.

Mackesey was arrested Monday on suspicion of possession of child pornography. Fourteen counts of possession of child pornography will be forwarded to the Dane County District Attorney, according to Monona police.
