Donald 'Duck' Wastlick

Donald H. Wastlick, affectionately known as Duck, 76, of Loyd, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013. He was born February 12, 1936 the son Joe and Mary (O’Brien) Wastlick in the Town of Willow. Duck was in the US Army from 1959-1961 serving in Germany. He returned home and worked as the Patrolman for the Town of Willow from 1962 until 1998. Duck and his dog Patches loved working on the family farm until the day Duck died. He enjoyed farm auctions, reading the Shopping News front to back, Baraboo Steam and Gas Show and never missed the Viola Horse and Colt Show.

Duck is survived by four sisters, Phyllis (Leonard) Alvin of Richland Center, Marie (Fred) Teuscher of Cambridge, Beth (Bill) Fuller of Cazenovia, Mary Lou (Don) Stevens of Loganville, sister-in-law, Rita Wastlick of Hillpoint, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Duck was preceded in death by his parents and brother La Verne.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with Reverend Ed Jones officiating. Military Rites will be provided at the Pratt Memorial Chapel by the Local Military Memorial Honors Unit. A private family burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM The family suggests memorials in Duck’s name be given to the Ithaca First Responders or GRACE.

The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service of Richland Center is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online condolences can be made at prattfuneralservice.com.
