Daniel B. Richmond

Daniel B. Richmond, age 74, of Janesville, passed away early Thursday morning, February 28, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 9, 1938 in Morrison, IL, the son of the late Paul & Mary Richmond. He was the youngest of 8 children. On July 4, 1989 he married the former Lois M. Moore, and they've been married 23 years.

For the past 20 years, Dan has been employed by the Van Galder Bus Co., as a Driver, and more recently as a Ticket Agent.

He is survived by his wife, Lois, his 2 sons, Douglas (Kelly) Richmond and Bradley (Cheryl) Richmond, his step-children, Kristie (Darwin) Conkle and Jack (Connie) Smith, his 10 grandchildren, Adrian, Andrew, and Taylor Richmond, Alan McLain, Zackery, Emily, Megan, Morgan Smith, Eric and Shannon Smith, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 1 sister, and his step-son, Jeffrey Smith.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Dan's life will take place at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at FAITH COMMUNITY CHURCH, 2931 Lucerne Dr., with Rev. Jerry Dean officiating. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial in Dan's name will be established.
