MADISON-Cris A. Kowalchyk, age 44, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 25, 2013. He was born on May 9, 1968, the son of Bernie and Judy (Hedberg) Kowalchyk. Cris was an intelligent, thoughtful, and spiritual individual, with a passion for music, playing guitar, fishing, and his family. Cris had a very creative sense of humor, and was an avid Badgers and Packers fan.

Cris is survived by his parents; brother, Brian; sister-in-law, Amy; niece, Elizabeth; nephew, Michael of Plano, Texas; sister, Karin (Kowalchyk) Witt; brother-in-law, Chris; nephews, Jacob and Hunter of New Prague, Minnesota; and beloved cat, Squeaky. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cris’ memory may be made to NAMI at www.namidanecounty.org.
