MADISON, Wis. -

The Third Annual Color Field Festival for Contemporary Music will make Madison a little more melodic this weekend.

The event includes chamber ensembles from across the United States who will perform their new and unique classical music.

An outreach event will be held at Goodman South Public Library, a location that does not hear much live music. The event, "ATRIA," is Friday at 11 a.m.

The Bartell Theatre will also feature music and cocktails Friday at 7 p.m. A six-hour "marathon concert" can also be heard at the theater on Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m.

Prior to the marathon music event, composer Nat Evans from Seattle will perform outside Capitol Square. Evans will create a unique performance piece involving chant, live mini-orchestra and natural objects.
