Clifford "Cliff" C. Paepke

LODI/PRAIRIE DU SAC-Clifford “Cliff” C. Paepke, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Maplewood Health Care Center. He was born on April 5, 1927 in Sauk County, Wisconsin, the son of Conrad and Elizabeth (Henn) Paepke. Cliff served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He farmed for 50 years in the Lodi area. Cliff worked as a milk hauler for Bordens and Wisconsin Dairys. He was a seasonal worker for the Lodi Canning Co. Cliff married Helen Benish on November 20, 1952 in Lodi. He loved playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Cliff enjoyed custom combining and blasting.

Cliff is survived by his wife Helen Paepke; children, Deborah “Deb” Roos, Jeffrey (Roberta) Paepke, Diana Paepke-Tollefsrud, Scott (Lois) Paepke, Mary Kay (James) Greiber; Fifteen Grandchildren; Eight Great Grandchildren; Sister, Amelda Lochner; Sister-in-law; Sadie Paepke-Hefty. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dean Paepke.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICKS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 521 Fair Street, Lodi, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 with Father Francisco Higuera presiding. Burial will be in Garden Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Main St., Lodi on Friday, November 23, 2102 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and again on Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.

Family would like to thank the staff at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital, Maplewood Health Care Center and Baraboo Hospice for the care they gave Cliff and his family.

Visitation will be held at the HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Main St., Lodi on Friday, November 23, 2102 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and again on Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.

Service:
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICKS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 521 Fair Street, Lodi, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 with Father Francisco Higuera presiding.

Cemetery:
