Boy, 13, hit by car on South side

Police were at an accident scene Thursday at Park Street at Buick where a boy, 13, was hit by car going southbound on Park.

MADISON, Wis. -

A 13-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car just after 11 a.m. Thursday.

According to the report, the boy was struck as he was walking east to west and the car was southbound. Police said he was conscious at the scene.

A witness told News 3 the boy’s injuries were serious, though police did not specify.

Police said the accident is under investigation. The report did not indicate the hospital to which the boy had been taken.
