Beloit police look for armed robber

BELOIT, Wis. -

A man armed with a handgun robbed a Beloit convenience store Monday night, according to Beloit police.

Police were called to the store at 1880 Shopiere Road at 11:12 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery. The clerk told police a man entered the store, displayed a gun and demanded money from the register.

The robber took an undetermined amount of money and fled west, according to police. The robber was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, white baseball hat, blue jeans, black shoes and dark sunglasses.
